This morning a couple of work teams went to Tent City for our first feeding. Tent City is government-provided relocation housing for people whose homes were destroyed by typhoons. Our students had the opportunity to bring a highly nutritional meal to the kids and were able to love on them too. Take a look. :)
We also got started on our construction project - we're adding on to the Children's Home! This new wing will provide more space for toddlers, but also the upstairs will be an independent living space for older children who can no longer be adopted because they are above age. We're mixing cement, carrying blocks and sand, and much more!
Some of the pictures below are from this morning's tour. The team was shown the location of all the ministry sites where they will be working over the next few days. It was really neat to see the classrooms at the Mango site where we worked construction last year. The classrooms are finished and are being used! We will even be tutoring in those classrooms. Last year's construction site is completely finished. You can also see pictures of the students giving swimming lessons.
Evening Ministry. Tonight we led skits and songs at the Children's Home next door and also Journey for Hope down the street. Some groups led while others just participated and loved on the kids. Each group will take a turn leading.
